My AZ Pro sells and installs Trane air conditioners and heat pumps in Surprise and Sun City West. Trane systems generally fall into three performance levels: single-stage, two-stage and variable-speed. The right choice depends on your home, your budget and how much you want to invest in efficiency and comfort.
The three performance levels
- Single-stageRuns at full capacity whenever it is on. The most affordable upfront and a solid, reliable choice for many homes.
- Two-stage (multi-stage)Runs on a lower stage most of the time and ramps up on the hottest afternoons. More even temperatures, better humidity control and lower energy use than single-stage.
- Variable-speedAdjusts output in small steps to match what your home needs. The quietest, most even and most efficient option, at the highest upfront price.
Air conditioner or heat pump?
Trane offers both. A heat pump cools in summer and heats in winter from one outdoor unit, and works very well in the mild West Valley winter. An air conditioner paired with a gas furnace or electric heat is a good fit for some homes too. See our Heat Pump vs AC guide for a side-by-side comparison.
Choosing the right Trane system
We start with a proper sizing assessment of your home rather than copying the size of your old unit. Then we show you options at each level with written pricing, so you can compare upfront cost, expected energy savings and comfort features side by side. We also let you know which systems may qualify for utility rebates if you are an SRP customer.
Other brands we install
Trane is one of five brands we sell and install, along with Lennox, Midea, Goodman/Daikin and TCL. If you want to compare, see our Compare HVAC Brands guide.
